　　(4)因果關系：常用so，for，because等。 Peter went to bed early，for he felt very tired. 彼得早早就睡覺了，因為他感到非常疲乏。 7．特別提醒： (1)“祈使句＋and/or(otherwise)＋簡單句”也是并列句的一種，or在此意為“否則”。 Give me one more minute or I won't be able to finish it. 再多給我一分鐘，否則我不能完成它。 (2)not only...but also連接的并列句，當not only置于句首時，其后的句子通常要用部分倒裝的形式。 Not only has she been late three times，but also she has done no work. 她不僅僅遲到了三次，她還沒干一點活。

　　(3)并列句有時也可不用并列連詞連接，而用分號(；)連接。 The future is bright；the road is tortuous. 前途是光明的，道路是曲折的。
