A: So, I hear you’ve been copying out class lists for Mr. Fredericks? That must be a dull, repetitive job!

B: Yeah, it’s about as much fun as watching paint dry.

A: 聽說你在幫Fredericks老師抄班級優等生名單，那一定是份乏味而又重復的活吧。

B: 是啊，就跟等著看油漆干一樣沒勁。

A: The neighbors are having a garage sale. Don’t you want to have one, too?

B: No, I don’t care about those kinds of things.

A: 鄰居們都在自家門前出售舊貨，你不賣些什么嗎？

B: 不，我對那個不感興趣。

【語言點精講】

copy out: 抄寫出……的復本。

class list: 學校優等生名單。

as much fun as watching paint dry: 形容某事極其無聊乏味。通常形容某項工作冗長乏味的。

garage sale: 宅前自售舊貨。

don’t care: 不在乎，不喜歡。這是一個比較溫和的表示不喜歡的表達方式。
