　　The smart and active Corydoras Catfish derive s its Chinese name mice fish from the whisker s found around its mouth. There are no scales on its body, instead rows of bony plates are found under the skin to serve as a protective screen. Though they appear tiny and fragile, this species has the ability to survive under harsh environmental conditions: still waters with low-oxygen.
