初中英語定語從句講解和舉例練習(xí)

  在初中英語學(xué)習(xí)中,定語從句是牛津教材9B第四單元的語法內(nèi)容,不會對中考產(chǎn)生舉足輕重的作用。但是,弄清定語從句的結(jié)構(gòu)有助于提高閱讀理解能力,這一點尤其重要。在此,我們?yōu)榛A(chǔ)較好的學(xué)生提供這方面的例句,希望對初三學(xué)生有所裨益。英語老師要鼓勵學(xué)生瀏覽以下內(nèi)容,接觸各種形式的定語從句。只要學(xué)生能看懂意思,教師不必要作任何講解。要求中等以上的學(xué)生用英語復(fù)述定語從句的定義,(這是英語老師易于忽略的,)以排除累贅的中文解釋方式,阻礙學(xué)生用英語內(nèi)化。文中,劃線部分是被修飾的名詞詞組,斜線表示兩邊的詞語都是正確的選擇,括號內(nèi)指可以省略的部分,黑體部分就是起修飾作用或限制作用的定語從句。

 一、教材要求

   1.On 20th July 1969, Neil Armstrong became the first human that walked on the moon.

   2. There are reports that say Armstrong and Aldrin saw alien space-craft.

   3. Neil Armstrong is the person who made people round the world realize that space exploration was truly possible.

   4.The place that/which Bruce Lee was born in was San Francisco.

   5.The person who/that took Bruce to stage when Bruce was only three months old was his father.

   6. The first film that Bruce starred in was made in 1946.

   7. Master Yip Man was the person who/that taught Bruce kung fu.

   8.The country which/that Albert Einstein was born in is Germany.

   9. The computer that I bought last year is not working properly.

   10.Have you found the information about famous people which/that you can use for the presentation?

   11. Thomas Edison invented the light bulb which/ that is found in nearly every home in the world.

   12. From an early age, Marie was fascinated by the work that her father did.

 二、基本定義

   A defining relative clause identifies the noun before it. We cannot take it out of a sentence because it contains important information. We can use who,which or that in defining relative clauses.

Who,which and that can be used as relative pronouns. We use them to refer to people and/or things.

    三、基本內(nèi)容

  1.The boys who are playing football are from Class One.

   2. Yesterday I helped an old man who lost his way.

   3. Mr. Liu is the person (whom) you talked about on the bus.

   4. Mr. Ling is just the boy whom I want to see.

   5. The man who/whom you met just now is my friend.

   6.He has a friend whose father is a doctor.

   7.Do you like the book whose cover is yellow?

   8. Football is a game which is liked by most boys.

   9. This is the pen (which) he bought yesterday.

   10. The number of the people that/who come to visit the city each year rises one million.

   11. Where is the man that/whom I saw this morning?

   12.The school in which he once studied is very famous.

   13. Tomorrow I will bring here a magazine (that/which) you asked for.

   14. Well go to hear the famous singer (whom/that/who) we have often talked about.

   15. Well go to hear the famous singer about whom we have often talk-ed.

   16. This is the watch which/that I am looking for.

1. I still remember the day when I first came to the school.

   2. The time when we got together finally came.

   3. Shanghai is the city where I was born.

   4. The house where I lived ten years ago has been pulled down.

   5. Please tell me the reason why you missed the plane.

   6.I dont know the reason why he looks unhappy today.

  五、注意變化

  1. His mother, who loves him very much, is strict with him.

   2. China, which was founded in 1949, is becoming more and more power-ful.

   3.There seems to be nothing that seems impossible for him in the world.

   4.All that can be done has been done.

   5. There is little that I can do for you.

   6.Any man that/ who has a sense of duty wont do such a thing.

   7.The first place that they visited in London was the Big Ben.

   8.This is the best film that I have seen.

   9.This is the very dictionary that I want to buy.

   10. After the fire in his house, the old car is the only thing that he owned.

   11.Wang Hua is the only person in our school who will attend the meeting.

   12.The way in which he answered the question was surprising.

本項定語從句的作業(yè)與反饋以自主學(xué)習(xí)、先死后活的思路設(shè)計,在教學(xué)中可以適當調(diào)整。分為五塊:

a.學(xué)生在家預(yù)習(xí),閱讀與理解本篇材料,劃出自己有疑問或不懂的部分,特別是不理解句意的情況,到校與同學(xué)互幫互學(xué);

b.課堂檢查,直接聽寫,或者以漢譯英的形式,10句為限;

c.教師提供足量的例句,要求學(xué)生默記其中的10個句子,隨后課堂口頭/書面檢查;

 d.提供關(guān)系代詞和關(guān)系副詞,讓學(xué)生進行口頭/書面的聯(lián)句與造句。以上定語從句舉例中,凡是可以省略的關(guān)系詞,在檢查中要求一律省略,要讓學(xué)生熟記簡略后的句子。

 e.要求中等以上的學(xué)生復(fù)述與默寫定語從句的基本定義,這關(guān)系到學(xué)習(xí)者的學(xué)習(xí)策略,關(guān)注定義,不可忽略!
